Android’s New Mascot – LineageOS Hits More Than 1 Million Users

Recently it has surpassed more than one million active installs across the globe. And another big news that the developer team rolled out is Lineage OS will now support additional 15 devices, along with some handy bunch of new features.

Lineage OS: A Quick Glance

For those who’re not aware Lineage OS is an open source Operating system sot smartphones and tablets running on Android platform. It was officially launched by Cyanogen Inc on December 24, 2016, with the source code available on GitHub. Not just this, the developers are creating an app named “FlipFlap”, which is specially designed for LineageOS, and brings added functionality to flip cover cases

  • Quick Setting Tiles

Custom QuickSettings tiles make their way back to the OS. The first set of tiles include: Caffeine, USB Tether, Sync, Battery Saver, Ambient display, Heads Up, Volume Panel and ADB over Network. These tiles make it easy for the users to navigate to some of the most commonly used settings and change them as per their will.

  • Gallery App Enhancement

The app now supports the ability to play the videos in a full screen mode, as well as easier navigation than compared to the previous gallery app.
