Google is a company which doesn’t need any introduction. From search engines to Internet browsers and operating systems (Android) to smartphones, Google has been providing best of services across the globe.
Google launched its first end to end smartphone, Pixel and Pixel XL in October 2016. Before Pixel, Google also launched Nexus, series of the smartphone with the collaboration of other companies but Pixel is the independent product by Google.
Google Pixel and Pixel XL were praised for camera quality and performance, however, were criticized for the price and lack of waterproof feature.
This year, as Google tipped off, successors of Pixel and Pixel XL can be expected to hit the market.
There have been many speculations about to the display of the successors.
According to a report from South Korea’s Electronic Times, Google is trying to cook up a mega deal of about $900 million with LG to enhance the display of their future offerings. Rumor has it, if this deal is finalized, not only the supply issues will be conquered (which was one of the major issues with the predecessors) but also the finished product would have the infinity display just like Samsung Galaxy S8.
Having said that, LG has not yet finalized the deal as it is already involved in another deal with Apple to supply OLED display for iPhone 8’s special edition. If these rumors turn out to be true, then Google should certainly focus on supply that has been a bane for sales.
There has been conjectures that Google is cooking up something big, it is set to change the design and look for which it was criticized by many. Rumor has it, there would be remarkable changes in the design and display in upcoming Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL.”. If all these rumors are true, their new product will have infinity display and alluring features just like Samsung Galaxy S8 and others. However, this is certainly a long road for Google and we hope for the best with their next launch.
