Apple is Going To Add a New Surprise Under “For You” Tab Of Your Music App

Apple is going to roll out the first new personalized playlist under Apple Music’s ‘For You’ section this week. You will find this playlist with the title ‘Chill’. It will be a collection of tracks based on algorithmic interpretation and editorial curation of your musical preferences.

Currently only some test users have the new playlist in their Music app. The Chill playlist is updated and delivered every Sunday to users who join the test group.

What Apple said about “My Chill Mix”?

Apple described the playlist thus: “Tailored to your music tastes, My Chill Mix is a selection of songs to help you relax and unwind.”

The playlist appeared in the watch OS 4 preview page after this year’s annual WorldWide Developers’ Conference (WWDC) that Apple organises every year. Since then, any trace of the playlist has been removed from that page on Apple’s official website.

What will be the ingredients of this play list?

The Chill playlist will consider the music and genres you enjoy the most and build a customized set of tracks out of those genres. For instance, if you usually listen to Drake, Outkast,  Beyoncé,  Ashanti, Trey, Jeremih and Kehlani, the playlist will not only pick popular tracks of these artists but also suggest similar tracks of these artists according to editorial choice and some general music genomic. The Playlist consists of about 25 tracks and half an hour to one hour playback time.
