MICROSOFT COULD LAY OFF ‘THOUSANDS’ AS IT FOCUSES MORE ON CLOUD SERVICES
Worldwide layoffs are reportedly about to hit Microsoft as it aims to focus more on marketing and selling its cloud software.
WILL IT HAVE A HUGE IMPACT ON MICROSOFT?
This doesn’t seem like it will have a drastic effect on how Microsoft operates on a day to day basis. Since the appointment of Nadella, the former head of Microsoft’s cloud division, the organization has put an ever increasing number of assets toward working out its Azure distributed computing stage and pitching programming memberships to organizations. This is all piece of a steady shift far from one-time software licenses for items like Windows and Office.
MICROSOFT V/S GOOGLE
Microsoft is still playing to speed up against Amazon, with the huge success of its AWS business, and now attempting to fight off rivalry from Google and its developing cloud division.
WHERE WILL THE PRIME FOCUS BE?
Microsoft says it will now concentrate on two particular areas: huge enterprise clients, and after that small to medium-sized organizations. It’s not precisely clear what changes are in the pipeline, yet an email from Judson Althoff, Microsoft’s official VP of overall business, says deals rearrangement is intended to “align the right resources for the right customer at the right time.”

IS VR GOING WAY TOO FAR?
Virtual Reality has been with us for sometime now. The concept of virtual reality has emerged from real life experiences and have stretched way beyond the realms of our imagination. And it’s not just gamers who are benefiting from the immersive possibilities it offers. Over time, it will transform every aspect of life. But out of various aspects including heat, cold, or emotions we are not willing to experience pain at least.
