It can also make the infected devices to get connected to WiFi networks influenced by hackers.

Another of its features, Reverse Shell, which gives malware controllers power to operate infected devices remotely. Malware also consists of a variety of Windows components that provide things like a keylogger, a mechanism for recording Skype conversations, and more.

Kaspersky Lab researchers wrote in a post, “The Skygofree Android implant is one of the most powerful spyware tools that we have ever seen for this platform,” “As a result of the long-term development process, there are multiple, exceptional capabilities.” Malware is continuously evolving and is therefore, emerging with new capabilities.

WHO INVENTED THIS CODE?

So far, this malware seems to BE a perfect creation. Kaspersky Lab examined various versions of the malware which gave them important hints regarding the people who might have developed and maintained the code. With the unearthed evidence, a domain name h3g.co, registered by Italian IT firm Negg International has been surfaced. However, the company has not yet responded.

It is also said that malware is disseminated via Web Landing pages which emulate sites of mobile operators such as Vodafone.

Looks like Skygofree is following the footsteps of the Hacking Team.  Users who think that they could be targeted should pay attention to the links they click, websites they visit and always install all apps from the official store.

YOUTUBE LAYS STRINGENT POLICIES FOR CREATOR MONETIZATION AND PARTNERSHIPS

THE STORY

YouTube is going to make changes for creator monetization to procure advertisers trust again.

WHAT ARE THE NEW RULES?

Google is working on making mandatory changes to YouTube monetization. The company is doing this to recoup advertisers’ trust.

Now YouTube is tightening its policies for YouTube Partner Program, which lets publishers to make money through advertising. Now, channels need to have 1000 subscribers and 4000 hours of view time along with 10,000 total views to be a part of the program. Right now, there is a desideratum to join the program but Google plans to apply them to existing partners on February 20.

WHAT GOOGLE’S VICE PRESIDENT PAUL MURET  HAS TO SAY?

The new policies will persuade marketers that their ads will barely run on random, fly-by-night channels but as Google’s Vice President Paul Muret said, “Of course, size alone is not enough to determine whether a channel is suitable for advertising.”

He further added, “We will closely monitor signals like community strikes, spam, and other abuse flags to ensure they comply with our policies. Both new and existing YPP channels will be automatically evaluated under this strict criterion and if we find a channel repeatedly or egregiously violates our community guidelines, we will remove that channel from YPP. As always, if the account has been issued three community guidelines strikes, we will remove that user’s accounts and channels from YouTube.”

Paul Muret also explained about the changes planned for the unique Google Preferred program, which is believed to be confined to the best and most popular content on YouTube.

This is not it, Muret also added that the program will offer the most well-liked and scrutinized content on YouTube. So, this means all the content in Google Preferred should be organized and managed manually with ads only running “on videos that have been verified to meet our ad-friendly guidelines.”

Muret also mentioned that YouTube will introduce a new “three-tier suitability system” in the next coming months. the system’s objective is to give marketers more authority over the deal between running ads in safer environments versus reaching more viewers.
