Google, in an initiative to connect jobless people to economic platforms, launched a job search feature last year. This feature is now helping hundreds of millions of jobless people who are looking for job with their needs in around 12 countries.

But, this was not all as Google released a new feature for the many forthcoming and aspiring students. This feature is for students who are in urge to find the right college and school. According to New America, around 63% of students who just enrolled or are getting lost in process and confused when finding college or financial support options.

This is the reason for which Google is getting a feature to help students through the college research process.

HOW IT WORKS?

The process to find the right college is pretty easy and quick. When the user will search for 4-year U.S. college like Spelman College or 5-year program in Canada, information about that college will be shown to the user directly in Search. This will include details about admissions, expenses, student life, etc. This will definitely be helpful for the students in exploring more educational opportunities according to their needs.

If students and parents need to get more details of the college like average cost, tuition fees after financial aid, they can access this information easily in Search. Students can also find out the future outcomes that what annual income will they get in coming years if they graduate from that college.

FROM WHERE WILL GOOGLE GET PUBLIC DATA?

For this, Google is using data and information from the U.S. Department of Education’s College Scorecard and Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS).

On this, Google posted a blog mentioning,

“We’re starting to roll out this new experience today on mobile with some features on desktop as well—try it out today to start your search for the right college.”
