The Story: Minute long voice messages will soon be possible on LinkedIn. This service will begin globally across platforms for all users in the next few weeks.
What Is The Latest Service On LinkedIn Messaging All About?
LinkedIn, one of the most popular recruitment and employment service provider has upped the ante by announcing that it shall soon offer all its users Voice messaging services. This announcement was posted on its blog. It states, “People speak about four times faster than they type, making voice messaging great for explaining longer or more complex ideas without the time and involvement of typing and editing a message. It’s also helpful for when you’re on the move and don’t have time to stop and type.” The blog further stated that with this service, its users could better express themselves. “Speaking in your own voice allows you to build a more personal connection and effectively communicate. It’s easier for your tone and personality to come through, which can sometimes get lost in translation in written communications.”
How Does This Service Work?
This easy to use service works with just a tap on the screen. Simply, hold down the mic option in the chat and record the message. If by any chance one wants to scrape or erase the said message, all they need to do is simply slide their finger sideways while still holding the mic icon down. This service aims for its users to have an easier way of communicating with their respective professional community. But, naysayers believe that this service shall be exploited by marketing professionals by bombarding the user’s inboxes with quotes and package dealings of their respective products. Why Is Fortnite Being Launched As a Package With Samsung Galaxy Note 9?
In a brilliant marketing ploy, Samsung and Fortnite have teamed up to launch Galaxy Note 9 and Fortnite on Android in a special promotion combo on 9th August. For 30 days, Fortnite: Battle Royale Android version, will be available only to Galaxy Note 9 users. Infact, those that pre-order the device shall stand to win a bonus of $100-$150 worth of V-Bucks for in-game use and player skins amongst other things. This is quite a motivation to pre order. This strategy was previously used by iOS and Nintendo for the Mario Mobile game. Other Android users will have to wait till the end of September to avail the game on their device.
Where Does This Leave The Other Android Users Awaiting The Game?
This feature shall be exclusive for only 30 days but there is talks of the phone’s S Pen having some sort of an integration with Fortnite the game. As the soon to launch stylus is reported to have Bluetooth support, this partnership makes more sense. There is a lot of buzz around the launch of the phone and speculations claim that Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, who is the face of Fortnite with 10 Million followers on Twitch, shall unveil the device at its grand launch.
