THE STORY: The tech giant Microsoft can now organize live events where it could be able to identify its attendees with AI powered facial recognition technique. Moreover, the speech to text conversion is also there to help you search video transcripts

WHAT IS MICROSOFT 365?

Microsoft 365 is a subscription plan that provides you with a range of applications. With MS 365, you don’t have to buy multiple applications. Instead, you can subscribe to the plan and get all your required application in the package. Many subscription plans of Microsoft 365 can be downloaded over multiple machines. However, the Microsoft Office is available as a onetime purchase that contains Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc., and can be installed on only one computer. Here, it important to know that these applications can’t get updated on their own and you’ve to buy the product again once the update is floated.

WHAT IS THE BENEFIT OF LIVE EVENTS AND OTHER NEW TOOLS?

With Microsoft introducing live events with the help of facial recognition and speech to text transcripts, the audience seems to have more control over a webinar. Not just you can directly get to a video frame with timestamps and specific words but you can also scan through the faces of the participants. The facial recognition in a live event would let you ask questions and comments in the meeting with dedicated events page. As all the live events can be pre- scheduled and shared before the time, you may ask questions and leave your comments before and after the events as well.

Microsoft has also launched Teams for free along with other interesting collaboration apps like Slack and Workplace from Facebook, that offer a free option. Prior to this, the business organizations were supposed to have Microsoft 365 subscriptions to get Teams, which is no longer required. However, this free version has a cap of 10GB of file storage for the team in addition to 2GB per user. The MyAnalytics tool is also been featured that would remind employees to not put too much on their calendar before a coming big event.


NEW APPLE MACBOOK PRO TO HAVE INTEL PROCESSORS WITH SILENT KEYPADS

THE STORY: Apple has decided to update its top product MacBook Pro by integrating the Intel designed processors, True Tone displays and quitter keypads. The company also plans to launch the new machines with better and more configuration options.

WHICH MACBOOKS ARE GETTING UPDATED?

When Apple announced to launch its new MacBook with tweaked specs, it is important to know that not all the variants of MacBook getting the new legacy. The MacBook Pro with Touch Bars, which is considered to be the most expensive amongst all MacBook models getting the latest technology with enhanced competence. Also, there are not going to be any updates for the base 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pros or MacBook ‘Escape’ as they call it. Unfortunately, there is going to be no update for MacBook and MacBook Air too.

WHAT TWEAKS ARE EXPECTED IN THE NEW MACBOOK PROS?

The tweaks to be implied are not ordinary and are expected to add more value and power to the machines. The 15-inch MacBook Pro is expected to receive more than the 13-inch variant. It is supposed to have a 6-Core Intel Core i7 (eighth generation) or i9 processors, with a whopping 2.9 GHz clock speed with up to 4.1 GHz of Turbo Boost. The machine can have 32GB of DDR4 RAM with up to 4TB of SSD storage. As long as graphics is concerned, the new MacBook Pro 15-inch would have Radeon Pros discrete graphics having 4GB of video memory.

If you’re planning to go for a 13-inch MacBook Pro, you’ll have a slightly lower specs than the 15-inch one but they’re still above the rest of the machines. Here, you get a Quad-core Intel Core i5 or i7 processors with 2.7 GHz of clock speed that can go up to 4.1 with Turbo Boost. Here the graphics are much lower than the 15-inch, having Intel Iris Plus 655 with 128MB of eDRAM. As far as the ROM is concerned, you’re going to get up to 2TB of SSD integrated.

There’re a few features that would be made available through both the variants of MacBook Pro. They include an Apple T2 chip, the Touch bar with a True Tone display. One of the most interesting and important feature of these tweaked machines is the third-generation butterfly keypads, which will make significantly lower noise when pressed.
