Now, if you don’t wish your Android phone would trace you everywhere, you can simply make the changes from your Timeline. To do that, launch the Timeline on Google Maps and follow the below steps:

  • Click on the three vertical dots in the right hand side upper corner and select Settings.
  • Scroll down to find ‘Location Setting’ in the list of options.
  • Now, tap on ‘Location History is on’
  • You would see a new window, where you can toggle the switch to turn off. This would stop tracking your location on specific device or all Location History across your entire Google accounts.

How to Delete all Location Data?

Once you stop Google from tracking you, it is the time to think about all the data that it has saved till now. You can delete all the saved location data by scrolling down to find and tap ‘Location Settings’. There, you need to tap “Delete all Location History”. As soon as you hit the button, you would be provided with a pop up warning you that everything would be deleted if you continue this action. If you understand and wish to continue, just put a check mark against “I understand and want to delete” to get rid of all the location data stored.
