Android Settings You Need To Tweak Right Now

Turn on Auto-Lock and Power Button Instant Lock

Due to the default setting of your Android device, most of the times your smartphone automatically turns off after a period. However, your lock screen can bounce back within a few seconds late or when you press the home button. Which gives an advantage to other people to have a sneak peek to your phone. Well, to avoid such incidents and to enhance the security, you can turn on Auto-Lock & Power button instant lock.  Upon enabling the settings, you can save the battery of your smartphone as well. In order to the same, follow the below steps:

Step 1: Navigate Settings.

Step 2: Hit Display and Sleep.

You can choose the lowermost acceptable number of seconds as per your preference which will ensure your display will go off at the set duration.

Now, to turn on the Power button instant off, you need to follow the below steps.

Step 1: Go to Settings.

Step 2: Select Security

Step 3: Choose Automatically Lock.

Step 4: Select Immediately.

Conceal Your Sensitive Content on Lock Screen

With the launch of Android 5.0 Lollipop, you get the capability to control and personalize your Android the way to want. Yes, you heard me. You can easily conceal your sensitive content on the lock screen which will prevent others from intruding your personal life. Luckily, Android also offers an option to conceal the content. However, to hide your notification on the lock screen you need to make a few amendments in your Android settings.

In order to do that, firstly, you need to password protect your smartphone. You can use four-digit PIN, password, fingerprint, or pattern password to lock your device.

Step 1: Enter your password and access your phone.

Step 2: Go to Settings.

Step 3:  Tap on Apps & Notifications.

Step 4: At the bottom of your Android screen, you can Notifications.

Step 5: Now, select the lock screen.

Step 6: Choose “Hide sensitive notification content”.

Note: Please keep in mind by performing the above steps, you will get the notification, but it will be displayed as content hidden which will help you to know you have received a notification or message on your device. To view the concealed content your device will ask you to enter your password which reflects strangers and your colleagues won’t be able to go through your messages.

Conceal Data As Per The Apps:

It is possible to conceal data as per the apps you are using on your device. By sorting your notification and messages will helps you to conceal only that content which you don’t want others to know. To conceal data as per the apps, you need to choose “Show all notification content”. Now, you need to select the apps for which you would like to conceal the notifications. Now, select on the lock screen and then “Hide sensitive notification content”.

Autofill Your Forms & Payment Page

Google Chrome lets you auto-fill your forms automatically such as saving your name, phone no, address, date of birth, credit/debit card and make your browsing easier and quicker effortlessly. With this feature will also autofill your payment at the time of online shopping.

Step 1: Go to Google Chrome and tap on menu icon.

Step 2: Choose Settings.

Step 3: Select Autofill and Payments.
