Apple has begun taking orders for smart battery cases for all three iPhone models released in 2018, iPhone XS, XS Max and XR.

WHAT ARE ITS HIGHLIGHTS?

The new Apple Smart Battery Cases are priced at $129 for all three iPhone models. The cases are available in black or white colors.

Each smart battery case is designed to provide extended battery life. The battery life of each phone will be extended by:

iPhone XS – 33 hours talk time, 21 hours internet use, 25 hours video playback.

iPhone XS Max – 37 hours talk time, 20 hours internet use, 25 hours video playback.

WHAT’S MORE?

As of now, the new cases only work with the specific iPhone models. And, older iPhone owners or iPhone X users won’t be able to use these smart battery cases on their phones.

Smart battery cases released by apple are compatible with Qi-certified wireless chargers, this way users will be able to charge iPhone and battery case simultaneously. Apple claims that Smart Battery case can be charged even faster with USB-PD compatible chargers.

While using the Smart Battery Case, intelligent battery status will be displayed on iPhone lock screen and in Notification center, so that users know exactly how much battery power is left.

Also, case supports Lightning accessories as well, such as EarPods with Lightning Connector.

IS APPLE REALLY CONCERNED ABOUT ITS CUSTOMERS?

Well, we all know that new iPhone models consume a lot of battery and some models even have battery related issues too.

Looks like Apple is seriously concerned about their users. However, not every user would like to spend $ 129 for extra battery power. It should have done it earlier while making of the phone models. We can say it’s a free money that Apple is trying to make.
