Since the last couple of weeks Apple has stayed in the limelight. Be it about their new product launches or iOS 11 release. iOS 11 is indeed one major software leap with many remarkable changes including the revamped control center, App store, a much smarter version of Siri and more.
But unfortunately, many users worldwide are facing some issues with their device since they upgraded to iOS 11. We have listed the most common iOS 11 issues that are being faced by users along with their quick fixes!
1. Control Center Doesn’t Truly Disable WiFi and Bluetooth
Yeah that’s a bummer! We all were pretty excited about those newly integrated toggle switches in the control center for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. But sadly, even if you toggle those buttons from the control center, the hardware radios will still be running in the background. Yes, this is pretty weird. What was the whole point of offering those shortcuts anyway?
So, if you really need to disable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on your iOS device you gotta head on to settings and turn them off manually by toggling the slider.
2. The Disappeared Mail App
Don’t know whether you have noticed it by now or not, but this is one of the most commonly faced iOS 11 issue. The mail app and several other built in apps like Calendar, Calculator or Facetime have been found missing with iOS 11.
So if you somehow want to get it back head on to the App Store and download it once again on your device.
3. Battery Draining Severely
Many users have complained and this is what you’ll find every one talking about that iOS 11 is sulking down your device’s battery like a hungry monster. (Yes, it is all over the social media) So until Apple finds a quick fix or offers us another software update with enhanced battery life here’s what you can do. Just limit the number of apps that run in the background, head on to Settings > General > Background App Refresh. You can try disabling the location services too from accessing your location (Settings > Privacy > Location Services).
4. Siri Sounds Different
iOS 11 has rolled out quite a few updates working on the way how Siri talks, making her sound more human like and less robotic. This will ideally be only a change, and if you don’t care for it, there’s very little you can do other than staying with the old iOS.
5. Installed Applications Keeps Crashing
It can be frustrating when your favorite apps start crashing after installing a new software update. You can try the following options to fix the issue. Make sure that the app has been updated to the latest version. To do so, go to the App Store and open the Updates tab. See if there are any available updates for the app. Uninstall the app and then reinstall it. To do so, tap and hold on the app until it starts wiggling. Press the ‘X’ button and choose Delete. Next, go to the App Store and install the app again.
