Set Multiple Timers & Forget About It
If you are hosting Thanksgiving dinner and don’t want to roast the turkey more than it should be then Alexa will take care of it for you. All you need to do is ask Alexa to set timers. The speaker will chime till you ask it to stop. So, add set a timer and indulge in different tasks in the kitchen without the tension of overheating the oven or hard boiling the eggs. You can also inquire about the time left.
You can set multiple timers and name them to differentiate which one is for what task. This makes it easy handling multiple chores at a time in the kitchen. As soon as the task is completed, Alexa will speak up, “Eggs are boiled”, “Banana bread is baked” and more. The best part is it is all hands-free.
Cook with Tunes
If music while cooking sets your mood, then Alexa can help you with that as well. The audio quality of the Amazon Echo is pretty decent. You can shuffle through songs very easily and as we already told you, it is all handsfree. Whether you are cooking your favorite dish, washing utensils, and getting ingredients ready, you don’t need to approach your phone to change songs again and again. The Echo can play songs from Spotify account & Amazon Music.

If your cooking skills have deceived you or you are not in the mood to cook, the Amazon Echo will suggest you good restaurants near your place. If you want to know more about the restaurant, you can check them out in Alexa app.
Alexa will Brew Coffee for you
If you have Mr. Coffee 10-Cup Smart Optimal Brew & smart switch or Behmor Connected Coffee Brewer, then you can ask Alexa to start your coffee maker. If you have the former coffee maker then create an IFTTT Applet to trigger the smart switch and add a phrase to start the coffee maker. All you need to do is state the phrase to start the coffee maker. Don’t forget to add coffee grounds and water, before using it.
This is definitely not it! Amazon Alexa can do much more. Whether you want to convert units of measurement or want to check a recipe, Alexa will help you with that. Use Amazon Echo and enhance your kitchen experiences.
