What are smartphones for actually? Better communication, right?
Every smartphone company nowadays strives to provide best communication facilities to its users.

Tech giant Apple is working on releasing some new emojis that will represent the differently-abled. Its attempt to make this set of emojis is based on the development that Apple has offered to a non-profit organization called Unicode Consortium. The proposed set of emojis is said to contain 13 different emojis that will include a prosthetic limb along with a wheelchair, a dog along with 11 other emojis.
As said by Apple in the report:
“Apple is requesting the addition of emoji to better represent individuals with disabilities. Currently, emoji provide a wide range of options, but may not represent the experiences of those with disabilities”.
“Diversifying the options available helps fill a significant gap and provides a more inclusive experience for all,” the Cupertino-headquartered giant added.
These proposed emojis will fall under 4 categories: visually impaired, physical motor impairment, hearing impaired and hidden incapacities. The list of 13 emojis extends to a total of 45 if the skin tones are considered.
The entire set of emojis must first be approved and adopted by Unicode Consortium and only then will they be released for public use.
As per Apple, the company is waiting for the approval and a set of guidelines by Unicode Consortium, after which it will be developing many more emojis.
The committee meeting is supposed to happen next month where a discussion will be held and the decision will be made. If the list of emojis gets approved they will be released in the year 2019.
