1. Gantz

First on our list is Gantz. This is also one of my favorite anime series. People dying after horrifying accidents throughout the world but wait, they don’t die? After the accident they open their eyes in a strange room with other people who have died but instead of going to heaven, hell or oblivion they ended in a room in their own city. A room full of people and a black sphere. The next thing they know, is they are given super suits, weapons and sent on dangerous missions to fight attacking aliens. All in the name of a game. This thrilling story is a must watch.

2. Level E

This anime is different. Just different. If I would have to name one anime which makes no sense, I would name Level E on top. So why is it on the list? Because even though it doesn’t make sense, it is still a must watch. Created by one of my favorite mangakas, Yoshihiro Togashi, this anime has only 13 episodes, most of them are just out of the blue but at the end, you will have a good laugh. A random alien prince just out of the blue, crashes the apartment of a regular teen and decides to become his roommate. He then goes off to mess with the minds of kids and other aliens.

3. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

Fullmetal Alchemist

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, for many reasons, deserves to be on the list. The story begins with two young brothers searching for a way to bring back their mother to life. Alchemy is just like chemistry, to gain something, you must give away something that holds the similar value. In an experiment to find the value of a life, they lost their mother, and a brother’s whole body. This story becomes a real tear jerker at times.

4. The Promised Neverland

The Promised Neverland

Now this anime is simply one of the best thrillers out there till date. The story revolves around kids but don’t let that fool you. The kids are orphans and the story starts after an apocalypse. They are being raised as livestock to satisfy the hungers of demons and monsters. The characters face horrific conditions and try to survive by adapting to situations on a daily basis.

5. Code Geass

Code Geass

This anime is based on the british invasion of the world. In a different reality, what would have happened if Britishers would have never stopped their invasion? The popularity of this anime never stopped growing from the day it was released. Typical cliche stories don’t stand a chance against this anime. It is for those who want to go on a mind-numbing adventure like they did in Death Note but with science fiction as a garnish on the top.

So these were the 5 best sci-fi anime series that I wanted to share with you. There are lots of anime which could have made their name in the list but these names are something in their own.

Thanks for reading!
