FACEBOOK MESSENGER IS ROLLING OUT UNSEND FEATURE
The much-needed feature ‘Unsend Message’ has finally arrived at Facebook Messenger.
WHAT IS THE FEATURE ALL ABOUT?
At some point, we all have sent a message by mistake to someone who we shouldn’t have. Big thanks to Facebook for introducing an option that will ‘finally’ allow us to unsend those blunder messages. The feature is already available on its subsidiary apps, Instagram and WhatsApp.
The feature comes with the ability to remove any kind of messages such as text, images, videos, GIFS etc. sent within 10 minutes of sending.
According to the sources, the company is planning to introduce other features as well related to “Unsend” such as ability to set certain messages to expire at a specific time. Giving more control to users over their messages.
The feature has already been rolled out in Colombia, Bolivia, Poland, and Lithuania today for both the platforms. “Facebook internally tests products and features before they ship to the public, so we can ensure the quality of the experience, so it will be rolled out very soon.”, said company’s spokesperson.
HOW TO USE IT?
In order to use the new functionality, user has to ‘tap and hold on the sent message and then clicks on ‘Remove’ option. The user will be displayed with two options – “Remove for Everyone” & “Remove for You”, just similar to WhatsApp.
