GOOGLE’S FAST PAIR SERVICE FOR BLUETOOTH DEVICES UPDATED

Google has updated Fast Pair, a service to pair Bluetooth devices on all Android devices. With this update, it will be easier to connect Fast Pair compatible devices with the same Google account.

WHAT’S IN THE UPDATE?

Google has updated its Fast Pair service. Now, Google Fast Pair will automatically connect Android users to the device, which will be saved on Google Account.

Google will remember the devices paired, as soon as you take the Bluetooth device near to Android phone, it will automatically connect both the devices. So, to use Bluetooth, users don’t have to hassle around with Bluetooth settings. Just a tap and you are all set to listen to your favorite music on Bluetooth device.

This update will be available for Android devices with version 6.0+. Also, it requires Google Play Services 11.7+.

WHAT’S MORE?

For this update and further new innovations, Google has joined hands with many Bluetooth audio giants and manufacturers like Airoha Technology Corp., BES and Qualcomm Technologies International, Ltd. (QTIL).

Google with this update, has also asked manufacturers who are interested in developing Fast Pair compatible Bluetooth devices. They just have to register their Fast Pair compatible product and later have to validate that all the specifications have been implemented to the best of knowledge to Google.

Current manufacturers for Fast Pair compatible Bluetooth devices are Jaybird with its product Tarah Wireless Sports Headphones and other organizations such as Anker SoundCore, Bose, and many more.

Google also announced that they are currently working on support for Fast Pair on Chromebook and are planning to make it available for Chromebook users in the upcoming year.
