Microsoft has finally released Windows 10 October 2018 update but most of us might not receive it right away. Therefore, those who want to update it now can download and install Windows 10 October 2018 update manually.
Step 1: Go to Start menu > click on the settings icon as shown in the screenshot below.

Step 2: In the new window that open click on Update and Security, this will bring up Windows update window.

Step 3: Now, click on Windows Update option present in the left pane.

Step 4: Next, click on “Check for updates” option to see if your system has Windows 10 October 2018 Update.

Step 5: If your system has the update ready, the download will start automatically. Remember the file size is big therefore, it may take some time.

There is a possibility above of the two methods might not work. If that is the case, you can opt for Windows Insider Program to proceed. Remember, this method involves installing Windows 10 beta version.

To install latest update using Windows Insider Program, follow the steps below:

Step 1: go to Windows 10 Settings > click on Update and Security.

Step 2: Opt for Windows Insider Program by clicking on Windows Insider Program option present in the left pane.

Step 3: Next click on the Get Started button and select your Microsoft Account. Make sure you choose, apps, just fixes, and driver to ensure you’re in the Slow ring.

Once done, your computer will restart, and you can revisit Windows Update > press Check for updates to let Insider build to install on your PC.
