Social networking sites like Facebook and Instagram are struggling to eliminate online bullying. For this, they are taking all possible measures and are trying their best to combat it. To clarify the same they shared the fifth edition of the Community Standards Enforcement report where you can see the progress made by them so far.
In addition to this and as a continuance of their efforts Instagram today announced several new and upcoming features.

Delete Comments in Bulk
To reduce negative comments, cyber bullying after testing the feature, Instagram is finally launching it for both Android and iOS users. Using it up to 25 comments can be selected and deleted at once.
Control who can tag and mention you
This is another anti-online bullying feature. Using it users will be able to control who can mention or tag them. Now they’ll get different choices like:
- Only People You Follow
- No One
This will help decide what you want on your own.
How will the feature help?
The two new features launched today will help people manage unsolicited interactions and they will be able to get rid of negative comments without any problem. While the second feature will give them the freedom to decide what they want to do and whom they want to permit to tag or mention.
How to enable delete comment in bulk feature on Instagram?
To enable it on iOS, tap on a comment followed by the dotted icon in the top right corner. Select Manage Comments > select up to 25 comments and delete them at once.
You can also restrict multiple accounts by tapping More Options > restrict accounts in bulk.
Android users need to press and hold on a comment > tap the dotted icon > choose Block or Restrict account.
In addition to these amazing features, Instagram is planning to offer an easy way to encourage and highlight positive comments. Soon, users will be able to pin positive comments.
Using these features users will be able to set a tone for their accounts and engage people with the help of positive comments.
All these features clearly show Instagram’s efforts in boosting positivity and curbing cyberbullying. Using these features, people with large followings who become a target for abuse will be able to delete negative comments easily. Not only this, but the deleting bulk feature will also help fight cyberbullying.
