QUOTE OF THE DAY:
“It’s one of the fundamental principles of the stock market: When interest rates go up, stocks go down. And along with financial companies and cyclicals, technology companies – with their sky-high price-to-earnings multiples – should be among the biggest losers in an environment of rising rates.” ~ Alex Berenson
APPLE MAY RELEASE CHEAPER MacBook AIR SOON
Long Lost MacBook Air is not forgotten by Apple. As per the new reports, Apple may launch a cheaper MacBook Air.
WHEN WILL APPLE LAUNCH THE CHEAPER VERSION OF MACBOOK AIR?
According to the latest reports, Apple is supposedly working on launching a cheaper model of MacBook Air. Rumor has it, the laptop is all set to get launched in the second quarter of 2018, but there are no other details provided so far.
The older model doesn’t have USB Type-C ports but the keyboard of Air makes it stand out among other MacBook models.
Apple could talk about the new model at Worldwide Developers Conference event which mostly takes place in June. Apple will also announce the launch date of other products such as iPads and AirPower charging mat.
WHAT IS EXPECTED?
The MacBook Air available now starting with a price range of $999 and has a low resolution of 1440 x 900-pixel screen. People have more expectations with the newer model in terms of resolution given the affordable laptops available with Full HD (1920 x 1080-pixel) displays available in the market.
Some of them are Dell XPS 13 with an edge to edge display and Asus ZenBook 13 UX331UN, with amazing design and specifications available at a lesser price than the current MacBook Air. As there are no details available about the new product. We are expecting that it will probably have USB-C charging ports and better retina display.
In 2008, Steve Jobs stated in an interview, “We don’t know how to make a $500 computer that’s not a piece of junk. Our DNA will not let us do that.” Apple has continued to target a certain segment of the market. Now with companies like Microsoft and Google concentrating on a bigger segment of the market, which is allured at affordable prices. Apple also has to reduce the price range of its products to compete with other tech giants.
INSTAGRAM HAS “PORTRAIT” FEATURE WHICH IT NEVER LAUNCHED
Instagram has “Portrait” feature which could possibly let people capture portraits images with bokeh effect-blurred backgrounds, other lightning effects and more.
WHY HAS INSTAGRAM NOT RELEASED THE FEATURE?
Instagram has been using its game with Superzoom, Boomerang and constantly increasing its collection for users to use the shutter more and more. One of the Instagram’s Android Application Package (APK) icons suggests that it has a Portrait shutter or the Stories camera. It can possibly enable people to capture images in portrait mode with bokeh effect-blurred backgrounds and more.
So far, Instagram has denied commenting on the very fact of having this icon. Instagram has a habit of denying about the upcoming feature and then releases them later. However, this time Instagram could decide not to release the new features if the features could not pass the testing phase or any internal strategy goes against it.
WHAT CAN WE EXPECT FROM INSTAGRAM “PORTRAIT” MODE?
Portrait Mode feature has become popular ever since Apple launched it with iPhone 7 Plus. Then many of the smartphone companies have adapted the feature. People can capture images in Portrait mode and upload to social media sites like Facebook, Instagram and more. However, with the increasing number of people using in-app Stories cameras on Instagram, might have inspired the company to do more.
Well, it is still not clear what features have been added to Instagram’s portrait mode. Whether it has a single setting or has multiple filters to give an amazing output that a user would love to flaunt on the feed. It is also said that Portrait Mode could be launched under some other name. A different name is a good option as it will avoid the confusion between a person’s native portrait options to Instagram ones.
Instagram has grown a lot. It has always been inspired to grow, be it SnapChat filters or new features on a smartphone. The Portrait Mode will definitely make people fall in love with their Stories and make them worth saving, even after 24 hours cycle when their stories disappear.
